Meet Bethany Edwards, the heart behind AquaSplash Swim School. With a strong foundation in water safety and years of experience teaching children of all ages, Bethany brings skill, patience, and enthusiasm to every lesson. She’s passionate about helping swimmers grow in confidence, master new skills, and enjoys every moment in the water.
Bethany's Teaching Experience
Bethany Edwards is the owner and lead swim instructor at AquaSplash Swim School. She is a certified lifeguard and accredited swim, leadership, and emergency first aid instructor, trained through the Lifesaving Society. Bethany brings a wealth of experience and a strong passion for water safety and swim education.
Since 2023, Bethany has worked with the Town of Newmarket as a lifeguard and swim instructor, where she has specialized in delivering leadership-level courses, including Bronze Star and Bronze Medallion. In 2024, she joined the University of Guelph’s aquatics team, continuing her work as both a lifeguard and instructor. She also holds her Bronze Examiner certification, demonstrating her advanced qualifications and deep commitment to lifesaving education.
Beyond aquatics, Bethany has extensive experience working with children. She has served as a camp counsellor at Camp Mini-Yo-We and Muskoka Woods, and has volunteered in children’s programs at her local church. These roles have strengthened her skills in creating engaging, supportive, and child-focused learning environments. Bethany is widely recognized for her enthusiastic, kind, and encouraging personality.
Her approach ensures that every child feels safe, confident, and empowered in the water while also having a great time learning and growing their swimming skills
